Automotive Service Technician

We at Premier Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC Inc. are continuing to grow and have an urgent need for a highly motivated Automotive Service Technician to join us in our new and used vehicle departments. Essential Duties:

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Maintains records on regular customers.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Documents all work performed on the repair order.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Follow the company standard operating policies & procedures.

· Uphold the quality and standards of the services of the organization.

· Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

· Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks.

· Sound understanding of all automotive functionalities.

· Take pride in their workmanship

· Valid Ontario G driver’s licence.

Auto Body Prepper

The Premier Collision Centre is seeking an Auto Body Collision Centre Prepper to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Auto Body Collision Centre Prepper will be responsible to prepare the vehicle for paint after the Body Technicians finish the repairs to a vehicle.

The duties include but are not limited to: sanding, application of primer base coat colour and clear coat, masking of vehicles, moving vehicles in and out of shop, working with the Tower Controller to maximize the efficiency of the shop.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 1-2 years experience as a Prepper (previous Body Shop experience is required to ensure at least a basic understanding of the systems and procedures that are unique to this industry)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and acceptable Driver’s Abstract
  • Proven attention to detail, quality driven
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Proven excellent attendance record
  • Team player with a positive attitude
