The 2027 Cadillac OPTIQ is a compact luxury electric crossover offered in five trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, Premium Sport, and the performance-oriented V-Series. Every version pairs an electric drivetrain with Cadillac’s cabin technology, and the lineup covers a wide range of needs, from a rear-wheel-drive entry point to a dual-motor performance model. Buyers can choose all-wheel drive across most of the range, with range figures reaching as high as 510 kilometres on select configurations.

For drivers in Windsor, an electric crossover with strong estimated range and available all-wheel drive fits well with commutes that stretch from the downtown core out toward LaSalle and Tecumseh. Premier Cadillac carries the full 2027 OPTIQ lineup, giving shoppers a chance to compare trims side by side before deciding which one matches their daily routine.

Technology

Every 2027 OPTIQ trim includes 5G vehicle connectivity, Wi-Fi Hotspot capability, and Google built-in compatibility, giving drivers access to navigation and apps without needing a phone plugged in. OnStar Basics comes standard, with additional OnStar One and SiriusXM subscription options available depending on trim. A Rear Camera Mirror with washer and standard Remote Keyless Entry round out the everyday convenience features, while a Universal Home Remote lets owners control compatible garage doors or gates directly from the vehicle.

On the safety side, every trim includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Alert, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking as standard equipment. Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Vision Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist are also standard across the lineup, along with Super Cruise, Cadillac’s advanced driver assistance technology. Nine airbags and a Rear Seat Reminder are included on every configuration, giving families in Windsor added peace of mind for daily driving and highway trips alike.

Exterior

The 2027 OPTIQ carries a smooth, closed-off front fascia typical of Cadillac’s electric models, with an illuminating grille and illuminating front emblem shared across the lineup. Slim LED lighting elements run across the nose, and every trim includes automatic headlamp levelling along with heated wiper park for colder months. A SkyGlass roof is standard across all five trims, extending the glass area over both rows. Higher trims add gloss-black exterior trim and unique wheel finishes, while the V-Series introduces distinct 21-inch wheels designed specifically for that model. Rear styling stays clean and horizontal, with LED tail lamp treatments that vary by trim and a rear liftgate designed for straightforward cargo access.

Interior

Inside, the OPTIQ is built around a 33-inch Horizon Display that spans the dashboard on every trim, paired with Google built-in compatibility and 5G vehicle connectivity as standard equipment. Front bucket seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control come standard across the lineup, along with an AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system. Storage and charging are handled through charging-only USB ports and standard wireless phone charging, while a Digital Key feature lets owners access the vehicle from a compatible smartphone. Premium trims and the V-Series add extras like a Head-Up Display and ventilated front seats with massage function.

Engine and Powertrain

The Luxury and Sport trims come standard with a rear-wheel-drive electric propulsion system producing 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, with a range of 510 kilometres. That range and output make daily driving around Windsor’s Essex County straightforward, with enough electric range for most round trips before a home or public charge is needed. All trims support a Dual Level Charge Cord and a cooling system built for consistent battery performance.

Buyers who want more capability can step up to the Performance Dual Motor AWD system, which is available on Luxury and Sport and comes standard on Premium Luxury and Premium Sport. That configuration produces 440 horsepower and 498 lb-ft of torque, with a range of 488 kilometres. At the top of the lineup, the V-Series is built exclusively with a Performance Dual Motor AWD setup rated at 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, with a range of 447 kilometres. Charging is handled through an 11.5 kW or 19.2 kW onboard module, depending on trim, along with available GM CCS1, J1772, and PowerUp 2 NACS adapters.

Versions

The 2027 OPTIQ lineup opens with the Luxury trim, which pairs standard rear-wheel drive with 20-inch Pearl Nickel wheels and a comfort-focused cabin. The Sport trim shares the same rear-wheel-drive base and available Dual Motor AWD upgrade, but swaps in 20-inch Dark Android wheels and gloss-black exterior accents for a sportier look. Moving up, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport both come standard with Dual Motor AWD, a Head-Up Display, and ventilated, massaging front seats, with Premium Sport adding sport-oriented trim details and Premium Luxury leaning into a more traditional luxury finish. At the top, the V-Series is a distinct performance variant, built exclusively with the Performance Dual Motor AWD system, Brembo front brakes, Continuous Damping Control, a sport-tuned suspension, and unique 21-inch V-Series wheels.
